Wax Witches - Morning Flowers

Today only comes every four years. It's said in many European countries that any man who refuses a woman's marriage proposal on this day has to buy her 12 pairs of gloves. It's believed to be introduced to balance the traditional roles of men and women in a similar way to how the leap day balances the calendar. Now that you've learn't something, soak in the new garage-pop doozy 'Morning Flowers' from Alex Wall, AKA Wax Witches. His new album 'Memory Painting' will be released on March 18 on Burger Records worldwide.

Grand Oyster Palace - There's No Need To Hide

The bassist Dan Palace from Sydney garage-rock group The Jones Rival (RIP) has got a new project called Grand Oyster Palace. The three piece just released their first single from their self-titled debut EP (due out late April). ‘There’s No Need To Hide’ has plenty of experimental pop obscurities, clever lyrics and smooth production. Yet it still holds onto enough traditional rock structure to create a familiar yet refreshing sound. If you like what you hear, then get down to the single launch this weekend.

Loose Tooth - Bites Will Bleed

So I recently dreamt that my teeth were all falling out one by one and I'm not too sure what this dream meant. After doing some research, I found out it could be a bunch of things including - loss, anxiety, loss of independence and feelings of powerlessness. But in actual fact, I feel fucking great. Not a worry in the world! It's best not to analyse dreams or good tunes for that matter. Sink your teeth into the new single 'Bites Will Bleed' from Melbourne garage-pop group Loose Tooth. Debut EP 'Saturn Returns' is out April 1st, through Courtney barnett's label Milk! Records.

DIET - The Rip

Shake your fine butt to the new single 'The Rip' from Melbourne band DIET. Some call it beach-punk, some call it sun-soaked-jangle-pop, call it whatever you want. But let's be honest, DIET's pop-crusted melodies will move through you like a heaving swell between Port Lonesdale and Shortlands Bluff ;) And you'd be happy to know that mastering duties were done by all round legend Liam 'Snowy' Halliwell (the Ocean Party, Snowy Nasdaq).

Arthur Wimble - Hearts

Absorbing, heartfelt and sincere. Who is Arthur Wimble? Does he work a day job? Is he is a fan of Four Tet? Is his name really Arthur Wimble? Those are all legitimate questions. All we really know, is he's an anonymous producer who creates beautiful landscapes with his lo-fi electronica skills. Oh and he's from the sunny state of Queensland. He just dropped his second single 'Hearts' through the good folk at TEEF records. And there is talk of an EP on horizon. Yay!

Colourwaves - Archons

Everything is made in the image of something else. If you can't see what you're looking for then wipe the lens and let the true light through. Or you could just listen to the new single 'Archons' from Sydney musician Colourwaves. Yep, bright and dreamy.

Lasertits - Dirty Brown Couch

Five young girls down in Melbourne go by the name of Lasertits. Yep, Lazertits. I'm sure their parents are real proud. But who cares? It's a fucking cool name and it matches their DIY garage sound. The girls just released a four track EP titled 'Aubergine Dreams'. My favourite track is 'Dirty Brown Couch' ( I'm pretty sure you can hear one of those crappy recorders they made you play in primary school ;) If you like what you hear then you can purchase the EP from their Bandcamp here
