Zone Out - Inside

Their 2014 EP 'Something Else' was always a good come-down-chillax record I'd be playing in my bedroom (or on my ipod, while I made shame runs to Domino's Pizza after a big night out). Zone Out's music made me feel better about my raging hangover and maybe life in general. This week the duo have released their latest single 'Inside' off their debut album (which is being released on Deaf Ambitions in early 2016). 'Inside' is like a soothing Bloody Mary. A near perfect blend of pleasant ingredients that will have you salivating for more and getting you through your day (in a slightly intoxicating fashion). Catch them when they tour in Oct/Nov.

GUM - Anesthetized Lesson

Futuristic psych-funk is something that GUM aka Jay Watson (drummer of Tame Impala) does well. Without sounding too forced or gimmicky, 'Anesthetized Lesson' bends and warps spacey melodies and groovy beats effortlessly. GUM's second album 'Glamorous Damage' out November 13 on Spinning Top.

The Naysayers - Passing By

Melbourne garage psych group The Naysayers most likely pulled a couple cones when they wrote their new single 'Passing By'. It's got stoner written all over it but with sound guitar work. You can just imagine them indulging in some sweet mary jane and busting out some epic solos. 'Passing By' is accompanied by this dandy home-made video, which compliments the track quite well.

Arthur Wimble - I love My Love

Submerged in tranquil electronica and deep soothing vocals. There is something very cool and alluring about Arthur Wimble's new single 'I love My Love'. The anonymous Australian producer has recently signed to record label TEEF Recordings. Expect a debut EP sometime in the very near future.

Fern - It Comes Slow

The donkey might be is a metaphor for the single or or it could just be a jackass in the desert? Either way, the new atmospheric debut single from new Sydney trio Fern  ticks a lot of boxes for me. There is plenty of swirling synths, hypnotic percussion and some very intimate vocals. 'It Comes Slow' makes a great debut single. You can download this beauty for free below.

Tempura Nights - Studville

Brisbane awesome-foursome Tempura Nights have returned with their latest single 'Studville'. Lasting only one-minute-thirty, the guys keep their jangly garage pop short and sweet. Also, if you are into Michael Keaton's 1996 classic Multiplicity, then you enjoy this video directed by The Creases' Aimon Clark.

World Champion - Avacado Galaxy

In a galaxy not so far away (April 2014) two Sydney Musician's met up over their love of pop, psych, soul and dance music. Their music will have you moving in little circles of joy, while feeling tipsy with nostalgia. Here is World Champion's first tasty single 'Avacado Galaxy'.
