‘Delilah Lightning’ is a slacker-pop anthem, with it's layers of fuzzy guitar, laid back vocals, loping psychedelic melodies, this track is the new single from Melbourne five piece Dirt Farmer. Having played around Melbourne and Sydney for the last couple years, their debut EP is finally out now. I would recommend purchasing it here to warm your soul in the next couple of cold months!

Bad//Dreems say their songs are about their lives in Adelaide: 'isolation, claustrophobia, doomed relationships, bad Sundays, fear of home life, paranoia, dreaming, kicking against the pricks and optimism' There is something more to Bad//Dreems and 'Hoping For' is a perfect example of their sound. As they say "its just heart on your sleeve rock and roll: three honest chords, a driving beat and ragged vocals"

Sometimes your trawling through the vast empty space that is the internet and you stumble across some really refreshing music. Spares come from Melbourne and their track 'Emotional Unintelligence' is clever. Minimalistic chord progressions lead into dream like vocals which are executed with the right amount of warmth and soul. Can't wait to hear more from this
duo solo artist!

When I think Babaganoüj, I think of a tasty middle eastern dip made from eggplant and other spices, tasty also are Babaganoüj, a three piece pop-rock band from Brisbane. Vocals and guitar shredding is the work of Charles Sale (you remember that indie band Yves Klein Blue with that catchy as fuck track Polka?) Well it's his new band, throw in two talented ladies and this power pop outfit is A Ok in my book. Enjoy their new single 'Love Loathe Love You'.

Leather jackets, smokes, beers, pool cue fights and there in the middle of it all is 'Angelie' your rock'n'roll queen. She loves The Clash, The Smiths, doesn't mind a little bit of Libertines or The Arctic Monkeys. The Nectars new one starts dirty and turns into a fast rocking indie anthem. Watch out for this up and coming Sydney band.
I'm not a hipster! You're a Hipster! Face it, if you're reading this you might be some kind of hipster and every hipster is in denial. One not in denial is Garrett kato with his new track 'Hipster Kids'; a change from this young singer/song writer's normal folky numbers. This track has a really nice driving melody, husky vocals and is very very catchy. You'll be pressing play again before you know it!

Fuck the Dandy Warhols, The Good Morrows are a fresh Melbourne band which probably should have been around in the 60's, playing their psychedelic flower pop to an audience full of hippies and tripped out long haired shaman. Having released their second single "Watch Me Go" at the start of this month, this track is reverb heavy and the vocals easily flow with the warm guitar melodies. Download this gem for free below or at their bandcamp before they blow up..or better yet if your in Melbourne catch them live when they play:

Sydney psych-pop outfit No Art have been lurking around Sydney for a little while. Their atmospheric music has drive and clarity, the guitars and drums build a solid rhythm while the vocals seem somewhat detached. Their new Single 'Dead Arm' is hauntingly refreshing. You can catch them when they play in a town near you or if you don't live in Australia pre order the Forest/Dead Arm 7" here.

Having just played The Great Escape Festival last month in the UK, 12 man group Velociraptor are going from strength to strength. 'Walk on By' was released a little while ago but is a perfect example of their brit-pop influences like The Libertines and The Vaccines, all the while been original and fun. They jam, they rock out and there is plenty of good times in this track, the way it should be.

Melbourne's Them Swoops started out in 2012 and have played live with the likes of; San Cisco, The Rubens, The Maccabees, Ball Park Music and Last Dinosaurs. If your a fan of any of these bands then you'll love their latest track ‘Rollerskate’. This summer feel good track has plenty of fuzzy guitar, psych pop melodies and an unyieldingly catchy chorus.
Sydney's Jagwar Ma have been flying under the radar for quite some time. The project of Jono Ma (ex-Lost Valentinos) and Gabriel Winterfield (Ghostwood) has been in the making since early 2011. Having different tastes in music has made for a very different and fresh sound from this duo. Offbeat reggae chords, distorted psychedelic rhythms and a knack for a good vocal hook makes 'Come Save me' a hypnotically great single. 2013 is the year of Jagwar Ma.

Melbourne Girl-Boy Electronic Outfit DEJA haven't been around for long but are slowly bringing their unique sounds to the masses. Their new Single 'Still falling' has a a mix of diverse beats, synths, howling Sirens, all mixed with their own brand of pop sensibility. Buckle up and enjoy this gem.
The Dead Heads are from the Southern Highlands in Sydney. They play a mix of 60’s Lo-fi to 90’s grungy pop. Plenty of reverb, wailing vocals and feel good pop punk melodies. Check out their track 'Sonic Youth' and download their whole new album "This Is What Is Happening In Sydney" for free from their Bandcamp.

Canberra, the political capital of Australia gave birth to TV Colours. Their first single Beverly is off their debut LP 'Purple Skies, Toxic River' out now through Dream Damage. The Fuzzy guitar layered over the dreamy pop lyrics will have you moving like 1987.
Dojo Rising is the new release from Cloud Control. Simple drumming mixed with synthesizers which could be heard on an MGMT album. This track is uniquely structured from verse to verse, uplifting and melodic. Their new album is out 9th August through Ivy League.
